Description

You will work on the Backup Team to deliver essential infrastructure for restoring massive distributed databases quickly and reliably. Collaborate with product teams, own core values, and help make MongoDB backup faster, cheaper, and more reliable.

Requirements

• Skilled at writing large-scale distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.)
• Fond of chasing down tough problems in distributed systems
• Cool under pressure, experienced with production crises
• Experienced with Linux, able to correlate application performance with hardware limits
• Comfortable working across stack of modern web application

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product teams, considering user perspective
• Collaborate with team members over best practices and core concepts
• Hold yourself accountable, maintaining balance between goals and research
• Own core values and stay up to date with best practices
• Represent Engineering when working with Product and Design
