Description
As a Lead Engineer, you will direct a gas turbine OEM team driving design-to-build innovation and execution for additive manufacturing and final machining. You will own small gas turbine parts from concept to hardware, focusing on speed, iterative design, and scalable production.
Requirements
- 5-12 years hands-on experience in additive manufacturing and engineering of gas turbine components (aerospace preferred).
- Expertise in manufacturability for hot structures, turbine frames, combustors, exhausts, or compressor cases.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university.
- Track record of meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks under time constraints.
- U.S. Citizen; must hold or be willing to obtain a DoD Secret/Collateral clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design to Manufacturing Integration: Own small gas turbine components from design through delivered hardware.
- Design to Build Integration: Rapidly iterate designs, closing the loop between design, build, and test.
- Rapid Build Iteration: Lead rapid build cycles (print→machine→inspect→build→learn) to collapse timelines.
- Manufacturing Strategy Leadership: Select and manage non-traditional suppliers across AM and post-processes.
- Execution Leadership: Partner with design, analysis, test, and manufacturing teams to deliver flight-worthy hardware.
