You'll anchor sports segments and report on high-stakes athletics across Central Georgia for WMAZ. Your storytelling will connect fans with local sports through live shots and enterprise stories. This role puts you at the center of Friday night football and collegiate sports coverage.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Anchor sports segments across multiple newscasts with authority and energy.
• Perform compelling live shots from games and breaking sports news.
• Enterprise sports stories beyond the scoreboard—features, profiles, explainers.
• Create platform-specific content for streaming and mobile-first sports updates.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot, write, and edit sports stories under tight deadlines.
• Excellent news judgment and sound ethical decision-making.
• Ability to thrive during live breaking news situations.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with vMix, EDIUS, and Axis graphics.
• Knowledge of East Texas sports culture is a plus.
