Description

As a Mathematics Specialist, you'll train large-scale language models by challenging them on advanced mathematical topics such as algebra, calculus, number theory, and optimization. You'll document model errors, verify factual accuracy, and suggest improvements to help build the next generation of AI for scientific discovery and education.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in mathematics or a closely related quantitative field
• Expertise in algebra, calculus, number theory, linear algebra, differential equations, statistics, geometry, mathematical logic, and discrete mathematics
• Clear, metacognitive communication skills
• Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or research in pure/applied mathematics preferred
• Fluency in Portuguese (Portugal)

Responsibilities

• Challenge advanced language models on topics like real and complex analysis, optimization theory, and mathematical proofs
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses
• Capture reproducible error traces and document model failure modes
• Converse with the model on classroom problems and theoretical mathematics questions
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
