💼 About This Role

You'll build and maintain global taxonomies for DoorDash's New Verticals catalog across three platforms. Your work will power product discovery for tens of millions of items. This role blends taxonomy design with cross-functional strategy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain metadata schema and attribute systems
• Design taxonomies for grocery, alcohol, apparel and more
• Develop taxonomy modeling best practices
• Identify catalog quality gaps across international markets
• Partner with Product, Ops, and regional teams globally

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years developing taxonomies or ontologies in real-world applications
• Experience with taxonomy management tools like Graphite or PoolParty
• Master's degree in Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy or related field
• Ability to think from first principles and operate at lowest level of detail

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor
• Proficiency in SQL
• Familiarity with graph-based systems (RDF, SPARQL)
