Description

You will lead the design, testing, and analysis of endoscope camera and illumination systems at Calyxo, a medical device company innovating kidney stone treatment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define imaging requirements, drive test methodologies, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• MS in Imaging Science, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field (PhD preferred)
• 4+ years experience in camera and illumination system design/characterization
• Expertise in camera quantitative analysis standards (ISO 8600, 12233, 14524, 15739) and colorimetry
• Hands-on laboratory optics experience
• Proficiency in Python or scripting language

Responsibilities

• Design camera and illumination optical systems for endoscopy and analyze imaging video performance
• Define image and video quality requirements with cross-functional teams
• Drive optical test methodology for component and device manufacturing
• Translate user feedback on visualization into design improvements
• Lead design reviews and create test protocols/reports
