Description

You will serve as the subject matter expert on environmental health and safety, focusing on lithium-ion battery hazards. You'll design and oversee EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safety culture across the company, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent
• 5+ years of EHS experience, preferably in aerospace or advanced manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery hazards and controls
• Familiarity with OSHA 1910, NFPA, DOT, and EPA regulations
• Excellent communication and training skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and routine safety audits
• Manage hazardous materials and coordinate waste streams
• Lead employee EHS training programs
• Develop and enforce safe handling, storage, and disposal of lithium-ion batteries
