Description

You will design and execute epigenomics-based research to develop new methods for Natera's oncology product portfolio, leading projects from concept to product development. You'll manage timelines, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to assay development and optimization.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, genomics, or closely related field
• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience or 3+ years post-PhD industry
• Extensive hands-on NGS experience (sample prep, library prep, target enrichment, sequencing)
• Experience with epigenomic/methylation techniques and cfDNA preferred
• Experience developing automated assays on liquid handlers (Hamilton, Tecan)

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to create novel methylation-based diagnostic tests including planning, testing, protocol development, optimization, and transfer to Development
• Design and execute high complexity experiments and perform basic data analysis (R, JMP, Excel)
• Coordinate complex analyses with statistics and bioinformatics teams
• Actively interact with interdepartmental teams (Program Management, Bioinformatics, etc.)
• Document research progress under a Quality Management System
