Description

You will support the electric power system model used by scheduling and dispatch software, develop knowledge of the New York high voltage transmission system, and contribute to real-time power system analysis and smart-grid applications. This is a two-year rotational early-career program designed to grow power system professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• Power systems or electrical engineering with power system software and/or mathematical optimization knowledge
• Familiarity with EMS/BMS platforms and smart-grid applications
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong technical foundation and leadership potential

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain PMU applications and EMS-based Voltage Stability Monitoring
• Maintain EMS and Phasor Data Acquisition and Control systems integration
• Develop and maintain software and operating procedures for special market and operating conditions
• Support testing and implementation of energy market software, including Unit Acceptance Test plans
• Provide technical support to Energy Market Operation, Market Validation, and Market Monitoring
