💼 About This Role

You'll join Preply's Security team to own platform security across AWS, Kubernetes, and GCP, focusing on detection, incident response, and security automation. You'll evolve monitoring from basic SIEM to an effective detection and response capability, partnering with SRE, Data, and Engineering. This role offers high ownership and the chance to drive meaningful security improvements at a rapidly growing edtech unicorn.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own platform security across AWS, Kubernetes, and GCP
• Build and tune actionable detections using Datadog SIEM
• Improve identity and access security with Okta
• Drive cross-functional security initiatives from problem definition to rollout

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years securing cloud and platform environments (AWS, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience delivering security initiatives end-to-end in production
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Experience building or maturing SIEM-based detection and response operations

• Terraform and infrastructure as code at scale
• Jenkins hardening and CI/CD supply chain security controls
• Cloudflare security controls (WAF, bot mitigation)
