💼 About This Role

You'll lead the development and operation of the data platform powering analytics, ML models, and operational intelligence at WorkWhile. You'll design and build data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform that enable the Data Science team to train and deploy models at scale, from demand forecasting to dynamic pricing. This role directly impacts how workers are matched with opportunities in the staffing marketplace.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and optimize data pipelines from PostgreSQL, Amplitude into BigQuery
• Own BigQuery data warehouse architecture and query performance
• Improve Ops ML platform capabilities with Data Science team
• Work on reverse ETL workflows and API integrations for model predictions

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering or data platform engineering
• Expertise in SQL for complex analytical queries across BigQuery and PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in Python for building data pipelines
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with reverse ETL tools like Hightouch or Census
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Metabase or Looker
• Background in marketplace or gig economy data domains
