💼 About This Role

You'll invent new AI technologies for scalable planning solutions in self-driving trucks, contributing to Waabi's vision of a single AI system that learns end-to-end. You'll leverage advanced techniques in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and simulation to enable safe autonomous driving at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Design and execute a research agenda for deep-learning based motion planning
  • Advance state-of-the-art in robotics and ML for safe self-driving
  • Deploy solutions to production systems with seamless integration
  • Publish work at top conferences like NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML

📋 Requirements

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field
  • Experience in planning/decision making approaches (imitation learning, RL, etc.)
  • Demonstrated research experience through papers at top conferences
  • Proficient in reading and coding in Python

✨ Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in self-driving technology
  • Experience deploying ML/DL models to production motion planning stack
  • Proficiency in Pytorch, Rust, C++ and/or CUDA
