Description

You will drive strategic supply network development and cost management for product hardware across their lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to accelerate development, optimize cost, and ensure production readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics/mechanical devices
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component product level
• Ability to travel 10-40%
• Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using approved supplier list
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via concept scoping, trade studies, should cost models, and joint design
• Drive manufacturing BOM development and consolidation, working with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production
• Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing total cost of ownership
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and complete BOM risk assessment including alternate sourcing
