Description

You will design and implement next-generation photovoltaic power systems for Starlink satellites, owning the design, qualification, and reliability of solar array assemblies. You will work across disciplines, own production outcomes, and conduct design reviews and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
• 1+ years experience (internships accepted) with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing
• Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred) and GD&T
• Proficient in analyzing mechanical assemblies with hand calculations and FEA
• Experience with design of experiments and statistical process control

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of solar array components from photovoltaic cells to integrated electro-mechanical assemblies
• Own and design satellite mechanical systems and tooling for solar array sub-assembly
• Prepare detailed content for technical design reviews
• Demonstrate ownership of production outcomes across yield, uptime, and cost
• Write, design, and execute test procedures and verification plans
