💼 About This Role

You'll join Sigma Computing's Compiler Team, building core systems that transform spreadsheet interactions into optimized SQL queries for cloud data warehouses. You'll design compiler infrastructure and apply advanced optimization strategies to enable fast, scalable analytics. Collaborate with engineers to drive technical best practices and architectural decisions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and maintain compiler infrastructure translating spreadsheet operations to query plans
• Apply optimization strategies for performance across query workloads
• Contribute to backend (Rust) and frontend (TypeScript) foundations
• Debug and resolve complex issues ensuring system robustness

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience engineering high-quality software systems
• Demonstrated success building complex infrastructure or core platform services
• Deep understanding of compilers, algorithms, SQL optimization
• Experience working in iterative, high-cadence environment

✨ Nice to Have

• Exposure to distributed systems or database internals
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with Rust, Go, Node, K8s, GraphQL
