💼 About This Role

You'll lead SkyWatch's engineering team through a period of evolution, reporting to the CEO. You'll own engineering operations, delivery, people leadership, and developer experience. This is a hands-on role where you'll build internal scaffolding and champion AI-assisted development to help a small team punch above its weight.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead people management for the engineering team
• Design and evolve engineering processes and tooling
• Champion and integrate AI-assisted development tools
• Drive delivery from intent to production

📋 Requirements

• Hands-on technical depth with ability to build and review architecture
• Experience leading engineering teams through meaningful process changes
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows
• Experience with cloud-native, serverless architectures

• Experience in geospatial, Earth observation, or data platform domains
• Familiarity with government compliance and certification requirements
• Experience transitioning engineering from vendors to in-house teams
