You'll lead financial risk and controls support for hardware and supply chain processes at OpenAI, working in a hybrid model based in San Francisco. Your core impact is building scalable control foundations in a rapidly developing environment. This role is unique in its focus on operational risk across inventory, procurement, and manufacturing flows.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Assess risks across inventory, supplier onboarding, procurement, and manufacturing workflows.
• Design and implement practical, scalable controls in partnership with operational teams.
• Drive cross-functional remediation for fragmented or overly manual processes.
• Support ICFR / SOX readiness by strengthening control design and documentation.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in financial risk management, internal controls, or related field.
• Significant experience with hardware, supply chain, or manufacturing business processes.
• Proven ability to design fit-for-purpose controls in fast-scaling environments.
• Deep familiarity with preventive vs detective controls and manual vs automated controls.

• ERP, procurement, inventory, or manufacturing systems experience.
• Experience with SOX/ICFR readiness or operational risk.
• Background in internal audit or controllership.
