You'll join Planet's Software Engineering Team to build next-generation geospatial intelligence using embeddings, multi-modal architectures, and vision transformers. You'll design and deploy models that transform massive imagery and sensor data into actionable insights. This role offers the chance to work with EO, MSI, and SAR modalities in an AI-forward development flow.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Apply expertise in multi-modal architectures and vision transformers to process massive EO, MSI, SAR datasets.
  • Own the complete lifecycle of models from data curation to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Handle complex technical challenges and align solutions with company goals.
  • Guide future feature development toward high-impact, achievable milestones.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience in machine learning or geospatial algorithm development.
  • Advanced expertise in AI/ML including unsupervised and semi-supervised techniques.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in Big Data and AI/ML at scale.
  • Experience with multi-modal data processing (EO, MSI, SAR) and Computer Vision.
  • Full-stack capabilities including front-end GUI, database management, and Docker.
