You'll design and operate globally distributed backend services for NordVPN's platform engineering team, ensuring reliability at scale. Your work will directly impact millions of users' online security. You'll own the full lifecycle of high-ownership infrastructure, from architectural decisions to production deployment and incident response.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate globally distributed backend services
• Make architectural decisions on service integration and scaling
• Manage full lifecycle: planning, implementation, monitoring, incident response, postmortems
• Maintain and improve infrastructure tooling and automation

📋 Requirements

• Globally distributed systems design and operation
• Systems architecture including service communication and resilience patterns
• Linux administration at scale with Docker and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)
• Python or similar scripting language

✨ Nice to Have

• Kubernetes in production
• SaltStack experience
• Advanced networking including BGP and anycast
