Description

As an intern, you will apply and extend machine learning methods across predictive modeling, NLP, and computer vision, managing the full research process from data collection to performance evaluation. You will collaborate with experienced researchers and portfolio managers while exploring financial market applications.

Requirements

• Enrolled in PhD program in machine learning, CS, statistics, or related field
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with creativity
• Ability to conduct independent research using large data sets
• Passion for seeing research from conception to application
• Strong scientific programming in Python, R, or Matlab

Responsibilities

• Apply and extend machine learning methods (predictive modeling, time series, NLP, computer vision)
• Manage research process: methodology selection, data collection, analysis, implementation, prototyping, performance evaluation
