You'll build real-time trajectory generation and decision-making for Zipline's autonomous drone delivery fleet. As a key contributor to the Autonomy Motion Planning team, you'll design collision avoidance and multi-agent planning scaling to 10,000+ flights daily. This role offers ownership of high-stakes autonomy decisions that directly impact global logistics.

  • Build real-time trajectory generation and decision-making for autonomous flight
  • Design collision avoidance and multi-agent planning for fleet deconfliction
  • Optimize across safety, energy, time, and reliability constraints
  • Prove autonomy in simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and real fleet data validation

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Master's in CS or related field with 3+ years in safety-critical systems
  • Strong in Rust/C++/C for real-time, fault-tolerant code on embedded/Linux
  • Depth in planning search, trajectory optimization/MPC, or multi-agent deconfliction on real robots
  • Hands-on with simulation at scale, SIL/HIL, log replay, and metrics-driven validation

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Experience with chance-constrained planning or robust optimization
  • Background in multi-agent systems or air traffic management
  • Published work in robotics or autonomous systems conferences
