Description

As a technician on the Thermal Protection Systems team, you will work hands-on in a dynamic environment to manufacture and test heat shield components for next-generation rockets and spacecraft. You'll be involved in fabricating ceramic materials, performing inspections, and supporting the production team to ensure hardware can survive atmospheric entry.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Experience with hand tools or power tools
• ITAR: U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night)
• Physical ability to lift 25 lbs, stand/walk up to 6 hours, climb, kneel

Responsibilities

• Preprocess and manufacture ceramic fibers, filaments, and powders
• Fabricate ceramic refractory billets, tiles, gap fillers, coatings
• Basic fabrication, surface preparation, bonding, and oven curing
• Document processes precisely for replication
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
