Description
You will streamline the Starlink flight software ecosystem by maintaining build tooling and shared features, and by working closely with developers to identify and fix inefficiencies. Your work enables rapid iteration and deployment of both ground and satellite software, directly supporting the mission of enabling human life on Mars.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, or STEM discipline OR 2+ years of software development experience
- Development experience in C/C++, Python, or similar programming languages
- Knowledge of Bazel, C++, Python, Bash
- Experience with version control, CI/CD systems
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
Responsibilities
- Maintain flight code generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers
- Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products
- Work with flight software developers to identify and fix slow/error-prone aspects of embedded development
- Invent tools and processes for fast, accurate, and easy-to-use development and operational systems
- Engage ground software teams to simplify constellation operations
