Description

You will plan and execute rolling upgrades across tens of thousands of ClickHouse clusters, balancing operational execution with software development to make rollouts safer and more automated. You'll own the full release pipeline, investigate production issues, build internal tooling, and collaborate with core engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years operating stateful distributed systems in production
• Hands-on experience running upgrades on live production data stores at scale
• Strong production debugging skills
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes
• Software development experience in Go (or other language with willingness to learn)

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute rolling upgrades across tens of thousands of ClickHouse clusters
• Own the full release pipeline: pre-upgrade validation, staged rollouts, post-upgrade monitoring, and incident response
• Investigate and resolve production issues during on-call rotation
• Build and improve internal tooling and automation for large-scale database operations
• Work with core database and cloud infrastructure teams to solve operational pain points
