You'll be the senior-most technical leader on our data platform, defining how AI reshapes our product. You'll own the architecture of systems at scale and set the technical bar for an engineering team operating in an AI-native way, ensuring first-class support for AI agent consumption alongside human interfaces. This role offers a chance to drive AI innovation for over 2,000 government clients.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect APIs and services for OpenGov's data platform at scale
• Define and drive technical strategy for AI integration across products
• Establish AI-augmented engineering practices and measure productivity
• Lead end-to-end delivery of features using AI-assisted workflows

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of production software experience owning critical systems
• Deep experience with distributed systems, API design, and cloud infrastructure
• Fluent across full stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, databases
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features

• Experience designing APIs for both human users and AI agents
