💼 About This Role

You'll develop production-ready mechanical designs for low-voltage switchgear systems used in industrial and commercial applications. Your work will ensure compliance with UL 891 standards and support projects from concept through production. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams in a growing engineering operation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop mechanical designs and layouts for low-voltage switchgear assemblies per UL 891.
• Produce detailed fabrication drawings, including general arrangements and BOMs.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to align mechanical configurations with electrical designs.
• Support design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly initiatives.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–8+ years of mechanical design experience in low-voltage switchgear.
• Direct, hands-on experience designing UL 891 switchgear.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and weldments.
• Knowledge of ventilation, cooling, and arc containment requirements.
