You'll lead a correctness-critical engineering domain at Float, owning systems that move money and manage banking integrations. You'll spend 60% of your time hands-on in the codebase and 40% leading senior engineers, ensuring reliability and safety across all financial workflows. This player-coach role requires exceptional technical judgment in high-stakes systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own systems for money movement, ledgering, and reconciliation
• Contribute directly to backend and infrastructure code
• Lead incident response for production issues
• Coach and develop a team of senior engineers

📋 Requirements

• 12–20+ years of engineering experience including senior technical leadership
• Deep experience with distributed systems and correctness-critical workflows
• Experience in payments, banking, ledgering, or financial infrastructure
• Strong backend engineering skills (Python a plus)
