💼 About This Role

You'll join a team of Hadoop engineers delivering Acceldata's support services, improving the availability, scalability, and reliability of products and customer data lakes. You'll learn from experienced members and troubleshoot issues across the stack. This role offers growth in technical and interpersonal skills in a dynamic collaborative environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Improve availability, scalability, and reliability of production services
• Support implementation and troubleshooting for Hadoop data lake clusters
• Provide technical support for Hadoop clusters across multiple data centers
• Handle rotational shifts in a 24/7 environment

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience with distributed systems or cloud environments
• Good understanding of Hadoop technologies (HDFS, YARN, Hive/Impala)
• Working knowledge of Kafka, NiFi, Ambari, and Cloudera Manager
• Experience operating Linux (RedHat and Debian-based distributions)

✨ Nice to Have

• Exposure to data security and engineering principles in Hadoop
• Experience troubleshooting across full stack

🚩 Heads Up

• Requires 5+ years experience but titled as Site Reliability Engineer
• Rotational shifts and 24/7 on-call expectation
