💼 About This Role

You'll own RF geolocation algorithms for a commercial space-based system in active customer use. Your core impact will be analyzing real satellite data to drive systematic performance improvements through iterative, hands-on algorithm refinement. This role offers the rare opportunity to deeply understand and enhance a working production geolocation system from first principles.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop TDOA, FDOA, and AoA geolocation algorithms from first principles
• Analyze geolocation outputs against ground truth to identify systematic errors
• Model and characterize error sources including satellite ephemeris and propagation effects
• Translate algorithm improvements into specifications for production implementation

📋 Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in electrical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics
• Strong mathematical foundation in estimation theory, linear algebra, and probability
• Proficiency in Python for prototyping, simulation, and data analysis
• Comfort with imperfect real-world datasets and iterative, data-driven development

✨ Nice to Have

• Direct experience with TDOA, FDOA, or AoA geolocation techniques
• Background in SIGINT, electronic warfare, or GNSS signal processing
• C++ reading proficiency for reviewing production implementations
