You'll define and refine combat mechanics for a high-quality online multiplayer game, ensuring responsive and engaging gameplay. You'll collaborate with directors and cross-disciplinary leads to translate vision into finely tuned systems, advocating for player clarity and fun.
π― What You'll Do
- Design and implement player combat mechanics including weapons and abilities.
- Collaborate with art, engineering, and design leads on gameplay systems.
- Prototype, iterate, and polish combat systems for balance and responsiveness.
- Advocate for player experience ensuring clarity and engagement in combat.
π Requirements
- Senior or principal designer on at least two shipped AAA titles.
- Strong expertise in combat design and mechanics in AAA multiplayer games.
- Advanced proficiency with Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).
- Deep understanding of gameplay systems including combat loops and balance.
