💼 About This Role

You'll join a small, senior squad building SumUp's accounting and compliance products, including Expenses and Making Tax Digital. Your work will directly shape early-stage, high-impact fintech tools for millions of small businesses, with full ownership across the full stack. This role offers the reach and resources of a global 200-person tribe while you operate in a small, autonomous team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain full stack features across Expenses and MTD products
• Integrate Expenses into Business Account transaction history
• Own backend service reliability including CI/CD and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional squads

📋 Requirements

• Node.js and TypeScript proficiency with microservices
• React.js experience with user-facing features
• Ability to work autonomously in a small squad
• Experience with API design and architectural trade-offs

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with event-driven tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Domain curiosity in accounting/compliance
• CI/CD and Kubernetes experience
