Description

You will lead the design and delivery of data tools and services for our Edge Computing AI Platform, define technical direction for the data platform team, and mentor engineers. Your work will directly impact Armada's mission to bridge the digital divide.

Requirements

• 12+ years experience in software or data engineering, 2+ years as technical lead or senior IC
• Proven experience leading data platform design including data modeling, ETL/ELT, and streaming pipelines at scale
• Deep expertise with data warehousing (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data processing (Spark, Avro, Parquet)
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, including complex DAG pipelines
• Experience architecting and delivering data-heavy platforms or APIs in production

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of data workflows, ingestion, processing, and distribution tools
• Define technical direction and best practices for the Data Platform team
• Mentor and grow a team of data engineers via code reviews and guidance
• Own end-to-end architecture decisions balancing short-term delivery and long-term scalability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and leadership
