💼 About This Role

You'll perform field and office tasks to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations for a municipal code enforcement program. You'll conduct inspections, enforce ordinances, and serve as a resource to property owners and the public. This journey-level role offers the chance to develop advanced skills with Certified Code Enforcement Officer certification support.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Enforce zoning, building, and property maintenance codes
• Conduct inspections and document violations
• Prepare reports and testify in legal proceedings
• Communicate with property owners, tenants, and the public

📋 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Class C California driver’s license
• 1+ year experience as a Code Enforcement Officer
• Ability to obtain PC 832 Certification within 6 months

✨ Nice to Have

• Certified Code Enforcement Officer certification (CACEO, ICC, or AACE)
• Associate's degree in Code Enforcement or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
