Description

You will lead supplier qualification and development, ensuring conformance to QMS standards and technical specifications for mechanical and electrical components. Partnering with engineering and sourcing, you'll drive supplier readiness from early design through production ramp.

Requirements

• Strong technical fluency in mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes
• Deep working knowledge of QMS standards (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
• Experience implementing structured supplier qualification frameworks (APQP, PPAP, FAI, audits, control plans)
• Familiarity with GD&T, engineering drawings, and specification flow-down
• Proficiency in corrective action methodologies (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities for mechanical components and electrical assemblies
• Conduct on-site supplier audits and technical assessments (FAI/AS9102, PPAP, MSA, PFMEA)
• Partner with Engineering during design reviews for DFM feedback and inspection requirements
• Drive supplier readiness for prototype, LRIP, and rate increases with risk mitigation plans
• Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and drive root cause analysis (8D, DMAIC)
