Description

Join the Thermal Protection Systems team to develop heat shields for next-generation rockets. You will work hands-on manufacturing ceramic components, operate production machinery, and ensure hardware survives extreme reentry environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Experience with hand tools or power tools
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, height gauge, depth mic)
• Ability to operate personnel platforms (boom lifts, scissor lifts)
• Experience with thermal protection systems or PICA preferred

Responsibilities

• Preprocess and manufacture ceramic fibers, filaments, and powders
• Fabricate ceramic refractory billets, tiles, thermal gap fillers, and coatings
• Perform basic fabrication, surface preparation, bonding, and oven curing
• Document processes precisely for replication
• Inspect products and perform rework as required
