Description

You will perform critical fire engineering for external wall construction, conducting reviews of designs, on-site surveys, and inspections to improve fire life safety in residential buildings. You'll work with a UK-wide team to deliver high-standard conclusive reports for clients.

Requirements

• Passionate about fire engineering and external wall assessments
• Ability to work closely with team members across multiple offices
• Capable of undertaking document/design reviews and on-site surveys
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, Fire Safety Order and PAS 9980
• Strong technical report writing skills

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings and specifications for external wall fire safety compliance
• Conduct on-site inspections of external wall construction for new buildings
• Perform intrusive survey inspections of existing buildings to verify external wall construction
• Risk-based assessment of external wall construction per PAS 9980 methodology
• Review building fire strategy key principles via desktop review
