💼 About This Role

You'll own the electrical architecture of Base's energy storage systems—inverters, batteries, and interconnect devices—from concept through high-volume manufacturing. You'll drive reliability and cost-efficiency in cutting-edge power electronics. This foundational leadership role lets you build and mentor a team while personally debugging and setting technical direction.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Set electrical architecture and technical direction for inverters, BMS, and microgrid devices
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of electrical engineers
• Drive LV embedded systems and power converter design and validation
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for production ramp

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in electrical system design for high-power applications
• Experience taking complex electrical products from architecture through production ramp
• Strong command of PCB design (Altium preferred) and hands-on bring-up skills
• Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and function generators

✨ Nice to Have

• BSEE or higher with focus on power electronics
• Experience designing products for UL/CSA/IEC certification
• Familiarity with electric motor design or thermal simulation
