You will work on core observability systems (metrics, logs, traces) and build scalable data pipelines and storage solutions to empower engineering teams with actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate observability into Roku's cloud-native stack and contribute to open-source projects.

Requirements

• Expertise in Golang and Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed systems and high-scale data processing
• Strong knowledge of observability tools and open-source projects
• Familiarity with time-series databases and columnar storage formats
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable observability systems for metrics, logs, and traces
• Build high-throughput data pipelines and storage solutions using TSDB, Parquet, etc.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate observability into cloud-native stack
• Contribute improvements back to open-source community
• Optimize systems for performance and cost
