Description

As a Golang Engineer at Canonical, you will design and implement well-tested software in Go, debug issues, participate in code reviews, collaborate on technical specifications, and contribute to engineering operations. Your work will power Ubuntu and related products, from distribution systems to cloud-native tools, in a fully remote and distributed environment.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM or equivalent experience
• Experience designing and writing high-quality Golang software on Linux
• Passion for Linux at the system level
• Professional written and spoken English
• Interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability

Responsibilities

• Design and implement well-tested and documented software in Go
• Debug and fix issues encountered by your users
• Participate in engineering process through code and architectural reviews
• Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications
