💼 About This Role

You'll lead the architectural design and implementation of a next-generation durable execution platform at Coupang. You'll build a highly scalable, fault-tolerant system from scratch that ensures 5-6 nines availability and leverages AI for self-healing capabilities. This greenfield project will impact complex workflow systems with hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design a distributed workflow engine from scratch
• Define and implement extreme availability requirements (5-6 nines)
• Integrate AI/ML models for predictive scaling and error recovery
• Solve distributed systems challenges like locking and timers

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 8+ years of experience in backend software development
• Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework
• Experience building highly available distributed systems on AWS

✨ Nice to Have

• 12+ years of backend infrastructure experience
• Familiarity with Temporal or Cadence programming models
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and Python with concurrency expertise
