💼 About This Role

You'll join Vast's Structural Dynamics team to predict low and high-frequency load environments for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. You'll generate frequency-based design and test requirements for quasi-statics, random vibrations, shock, and acoustics. This role offers the chance to contribute to next-generation space stations enabling permanent human presence in space.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Derive internal load and environment requirements from system level requirements.
  • Assist product groups with vibration and shock requirement tailoring and test verification.
  • Assess vendor hardware capabilities against in-house predictions.
  • Develop post-processing tools for dynamic analyses and tests.
  • Build, maintain, and correlate prediction models based on gathered test data.

📋 Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in loads and environment prediction.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Spacecraft and/or payload background through full lifecycle.
  • Hands-on test experience in vibration labs.
  • Familiarity with Femap/NASTRAN.
