Description

You will design, build, and operate the internal and external Observability stack for the MongoDB platform, handling billions of metrics and petabytes of logs and traces. You'll work with a collaborative team to drive performance, scalability, and resiliency, and influence best practices across the company.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in distributed systems programming (C/C++/Java/Rust)
• Strong systems fundamentals including multi-threading and performance profiling
• Experience with high-throughput, latency-sensitive systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with observability ecosystem and best practices

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable observability systems handling high-cardinality metrics, logs, and traces
• Design improvements for faster diagnosis of production issues
• Handle production escalations and mentor teammates
• Own code quality, debugging, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with product and engineering on roadmaps and large projects
