💼 About This Role

You'll serve as Heron Power's first in-house legal partner, leading commercial contracts and IP strategy as the company scales from R&D to production. Your work will directly enable clean energy hardware to reach the grid.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements (customer supply, LTSAs, NDAs)
• Develop contract playbooks and legal processes for scalability
• Manage IP strategy, including patent and trademark filings
• Advise on employment law, corporate governance, and compliance

📋 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• 8+ years of legal experience with law firm and in-house mix
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements for hardware or manufacturing
• Working knowledge of IP strategy and patent/trademark portfolio management

✨ Nice to Have

• Background in power electronics, energy, or climate tech
• Familiarity with 45X or similar federal tax credits
