Description

You will bridge business development and project execution by conducting deep-dive energy audits, identifying conservation measures, and developing detailed designs for clean energy projects. You'll balance technical rigor with financial savvy to ensure projects are both viable and economically sound.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering
• 5–10 years in energy consulting, ESCO services, or facility engineering with focus on project development
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit or similar design systems
• Deep knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, BMS, motors, and VFDs
• PE, CEM, CBCP, or CEA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive onsite energy audits for HVAC, lighting, compressed air, steam, and building envelope systems
• Develop detailed engineering designs including equipment specifications, layouts, and control sequences for energy retrofits
• Maintain guidelines for field auditing, project design, product qualification, and implementation
• Identify and incorporate utility rebates, federal tax credits, and state-level grants into project design and budget
• Coordinate with external engineering firms for compliance walks and documentation around NYC local laws
