Description

You will work across the full Linux stack to integrate and optimize Ubuntu for the latest silicon platforms, partnering with major silicon companies to bring next-generation features to upcoming hardware. This role offers a chance to have a meaningful impact on Linux adoption across industries, working on IoT, desktop, server, and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or similar
• Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto)
• Experience working with open source communities and licenses
• Experience with Python, C, C++
• Ability to work in globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Ubuntu integration for latest IoT, desktop, and server hardware platforms
• Work with partners to deliver optimized Ubuntu experience on their platforms
• Take holistic approach to Ubuntu experience including technical plans, testing, quality metrics
• Act as technical lead on customer engagements involving complete system architectures
• Help partners integrate apps, SDKs, build device OS images, and optimize applications
