You will define the technical vision and lead the development of AI platform and security infrastructure at SpaceX, architecting scalable systems that enable every team to harness AI effectively. Your work will accelerate production and development by making trustworthy AI a core capability across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a principal or senior software engineer leading platform or infrastructure teams
• Deep expertise in building scalable, secure, and reliable distributed systems
• Experience with AI/ML platforms, LLMs, or proxy systems preferred
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Ability to drive technical vision and execution in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term technical vision and architecture for AI platform and security infrastructure
• Lead high-impact initiatives with full ownership over strategy, design, implementation, and company-wide rollout
• Oversee onboarding of frontier models, compute scaling, and optimization of proxy systems for security and efficiency
• Lead adoption efforts at scale, including mentoring engineers and building reusable assets
• Drive cultural change toward AI-first workflows
