Description

You will lead the MongoDB Search Query Platform Availability team, ensuring high availability of querying and indexing tasks. You'll solve platform challenges at scale, enable vector and lexical search teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver new features for Search and Vector Search.

Requirements

• 2+ years managing a team of software engineers
• Strong technical judgment to guide engineering decisions without necessarily writing code
• First-hand experience developing complex systems like databases, distributed systems, or high-performance applications
• Enjoys coaching, career development, and creating growth opportunities
• Customer-first mindset and cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team, managing hiring, growth, compensation, and performance management
• Be directly responsible for team deliverables
• Define roadmap for the next 12 months
• Drive improvements to processes and tools for confident changes to high-risk codebase
• Handle time-sensitive customer escalations
