💼 About This Role

You'll lead Waymark's information security program, building and maintaining systems to protect patient and provider data. Your work will directly enable the secure delivery of technology-enabled, human-centered support for Medicaid beneficiaries. This role offers the chance to shape security strategy in a mission-driven, cloud-native startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Oversee cybersecurity program, roadmap, and strategy
• Manage MSSP, outsourced IT vendor, and security budgets
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance on risk management
• Define and oversee security operations (identity, vulnerability, incident response)

📋 Requirements

• BSCS or equivalent experience in operational security
• 10+ years in security, information assurance, or risk management
• HIPAA knowledge and healthcare experience
• NIST cybersecurity framework knowledge
• Hands-on skills in cloud native production environment

✨ Nice to Have

• CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification
• Experience in a startup of 100-500 people
• Experience securing a production SaaS product on AWS
