💼 About This Role

You'll join the Incidents team to build real-time navigation systems for Mapbox's largest global customers. You'll lead development of AI agentic workflows that detect, validate, and deliver live road updates, ensuring dynamic maps for millions of drivers. This role offers the opportunity to work with petabytes of geospatial data and collaborate with the MapGPT team on AI-driven map refinement.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable high-volume low-latency backend services
• Develop streaming data pipelines handling petabytes of geospatial data
• Integrate GenAI and LLMs to process unstructured data like text and logs
• Build search and retrieval systems using semantic search and embeddings

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years building scalable backend services
• 3+ years building streaming pipelines handling petabytes of data
• Experience applying GenAI and LLMs to extract insights from unstructured data
• Experience with search, retrieval, and ranking systems using semantic search and embeddings

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS services like CDK, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, Lambda, S3
• Knowledge of global data security standards
• Experience with multiple languages: Python, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++
