💼 About This Role

You'll join the Compute team to build managed compute primitives for Temporal Cloud, including autoscaling and multi-tenant execution. Your core impact will be making durable execution feel effortless and transparent for customers. You'll work on a hard platform problem at the intersection of control plane and data plane.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Invent new managed compute primitives for Temporal Cloud.
• Design self-optimizing autoscaling systems for worker fleets.
• Architect and operate services on the hot path of task execution.
• Deliver real-world cloud integrations including IAM and security boundaries.

📋 Requirements

• Significant experience building distributed systems or multi-tenant platform services.
• Strong systems fundamentals: concurrency, performance, reliability.
• Proven record of shipping platform primitives used by other engineers.
• Comfort owning outcomes: SLOs, incident response, and improving on-call.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with IAM/security boundaries for cross-account execution.
• Experience with Kubernetes controllers/CRDs or heterogeneous worker fleet operations.
